Frequently Asked Questions
Junk is priced by volume — how much room it takes up in the truck — plus weight, access, and any items that cost more to dispose of. As a guide, the industry standard is $40–$60 per cubic yard. The final price is confirmed with a free on-site estimate: we walk through everything with you and give you the price in person.
Photos can be misleading, and a phone quote is how a job ends up costing more than planned. Seeing the junk in person lets us give you a firm price — and if you like it, we can often do the job right then and there.
Local moves are priced by the hour, never a flat rate: $100/hr for 2 movers, plus a $100–$150 truck fee, with a 2-hour minimum, then prorated in 15-minute increments. Small single-item jobs have flat-rate fillers — $99 for a couch, $99 for a mattress + box spring, and $150 for a dresser + 2 nightstands. These are starting estimates; we'll confirm your rate and truck fee before we start.
Use the Get a Quote form, call, or email us. Tell us what you need, where it is, and when you'd like it done. For junk, we'll book a free on-site estimate. For moving, we'll take your details — addresses, size of the move, stairs/elevator access — and confirm a time and your hourly rate.
Loading, transport, and unloading, plus protection for your furniture and home — blankets, dollies, straps, and shrink wrap. We load the truck properly so items don't shift, and we place items where you want them at the other end. Packing help is available — see Moving Services.
We carry everything out, load it, and haul it away. We sort as we go — usable items donated where possible, scrap metal recycled, and the rest taken to the proper disposal facility. We leave the space tidy when we're done.
We arrive when we say we will, walk through the job with you, and confirm the price before starting. For junk, that price is the one from your on-site estimate (unless the scope has changed — in which case we'll tell you before we start). When the job is done, we walk through it with you so you can check everything before we leave.
Yes, for the estimate and for the job itself — or someone you trust who can show us the items, confirm the price, and check the finished work with us before we leave.
Some items need special disposal. Hazardous materials are the main example — please ask us first about anything you're unsure of, and we'll tell you whether we can take it or whether it needs a specialist disposal route. Some items, such as air conditioners, TVs, electronics, and propane tanks, cost more to dispose of, so we'll include those in your estimate rather than surprising you afterwards.
We take care to protect your home and your belongings, but if something does get damaged, tell us on the spot. Small damage is settled quickly and out of pocket, rather than argued about. If we messed up and you're unhappy with the job, tell us — we'll make it right.
No — local moves only to start. If you're moving further away, ask us and we'll be honest about whether it's a job we can take on.
We'll confirm payment options when you book. Ask us when you book and we'll confirm.
Still have a question? Ask us — we'd rather answer it before you book than leave you guessing.
